Bauma CONEXPO India 2023 brought together the construction, mining, and infrastructure industry at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida for four days of live demonstrations, product launches, and high-value business conversations. For BOS, this was a milestone moment — our first large-format national exhibition, and a chance to put real machines in front of real decision-makers from across North India.
The show floor at Bauma CONEXPO India is unlike any other event in the Indian heavy equipment calendar. Contractors, fleet owners, OEM service teams, and equipment dealers converge in one place, and the ability to demonstrate live welding and boring in this environment gave BOS an exceptional platform to communicate what on-site machining actually looks and feels like — beyond brochures and videos.
BOS-DS50 Intelligent Line Boring Machine
Portable servo-driven line borer, 55–160mm bore range. Demonstrated live boring with automated feed rate control.
BOS-DS60 Heavy-Duty Line Boring Machine
Heavy-duty model handling bores from 65mm to 600mm. Showcased on large excavator pin bore repair scenarios.
80-Ton Portable Track Link Press
Field-deployable press for track link separation and assembly — a standalone product complementing the boring range.
Live Jump Welding Demonstrations
Demonstrated the BOS automated internal bore welding process — showing how worn bores are built up before re-machining.
Live Sector Welding Demonstrations
Showed targeted deposit welding for partial bore wear — ideal for asymmetric wear patterns on excavator pins and booms.
Intelligent Control Panel Interface
Live walkthrough of BOS's intelligent HMI — how the system auto-calculates optimal RPM and feed rate from bore diameter input.
The live welding demonstrations proved to be the single biggest crowd-puller at the BOS stand. Watching a bore being welded and then immediately re-machined to specification — start to finish — in under 45 minutes was genuinely eye-opening for visitors who had previously only seen this process described in specification sheets. The reaction was consistent: "We didn't know this was possible in the field."
North India's construction market — dominated by road infrastructure, bridges, and mining operations in Rajasthan, UP, and Haryana — has historically relied on trucking equipment to distant workshops for bore repairs. At Bauma CONEXPO 2023, conversations quickly turned to the economics: reducing multi-week downtime to a single shift, eliminating crane hire and transport, and keeping machines productive on contracted sites where delays carry financial penalties.
The 80-ton portable track link press also generated significant interest as a standalone product, particularly from undercarriage specialists and Komatsu/SANY/XCMG service agents who deal with track link removal and replacement at scale.
The quality of visitor conversations at Bauma CONEXPO India 2023 exceeded expectations. Over four days, the BOS stand engaged with road construction contractors from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh — many operating fleets of 20–50 excavators with recurring bore repair needs. Mining operators from Rajasthan (marble, granite, limestone) and coal handling contractors from MP also showed strong interest.
Equipment dealers and distributors from the NCR, Rajasthan, and UP corridors engaged on the possibility of carrying BOS machines as part of their aftermarket product portfolios. Several rental fleet owners — managing mixed fleets of excavators, cranes, and loaders — identified BOS as a potential value-add service that could differentiate their offering to long-term hire clients.
Representatives from OEM service networks (including JCB, SANY, and Komatsu dealer groups) were particularly interested in the intelligent welding control — specifically how the system eliminates inter-operator variability in bore build-up, a recurring quality issue in service workshop environments.
Bauma CONEXPO India 2023 was BOS's formal introduction to the national construction equipment market at scale. Prior to this show, our growth had been driven largely by direct referrals and word-of-mouth within Rajasthan and neighbouring states. The Greater Noida platform opened conversations with segments of the market — North Indian road contractors, OEM dealer networks — that would have taken years to reach through individual sales channels.
The event validated a core commercial insight: that when customers see the DS50 and DS60 machines working live, the conversion from "interested" to "serious buyer" accelerates dramatically. Demonstrations that show the full bore-weld-rebore workflow remove the single most common objection — "can it really do workshop-quality work in the field?" — in real time.
The leads generated at this show contributed directly to BOS's expansion across North India through 2023 and into 2024, and the relationships built here formed the foundation for BOS's return to the Bauma platform in 2025.
