Earthcon Expo is one of India's most important regional construction equipment exhibitions, bringing together contractors, fleet operators, equipment dealers, and service workshops from across Western, Central, and Southern India. BOS has participated in multiple editions of Earthcon across three cities — Ahmedabad, Indore, and Hyderabad — carrying the on-site machining message directly into markets that large national shows don't always reach effectively.
The regional format of Earthcon is what makes it strategically valuable for BOS. Where Bauma CONEXPO and Excon attract senior decision-makers from across India, Earthcon's audience is predominantly local — the mid-sized contractor operating 5–20 machines in Gujarat, the workshop owner in MP servicing mining equipment for regional operators, the rental fleet manager in Telangana building out his service offering. These are the buyers who generate BOS's recurring revenue base, and Earthcon puts BOS directly in front of them.
BOS-DS50 Portable Line Boring Machine
Demonstrated live boring on representative excavator pin bore specimens — showing the setup, bore, and finish in a single continuous operation.
BOS-DS60 Heavy-Duty Boring & Welding
Presented the DS60 for larger bore applications — bucket pins, boom pivots, underframe chassis bores — common in the mining and quarrying fleets prominent in these regions.
Bore Welding & Re-machining Workflow
Full weld-to-size demonstration — building up a worn bore with automatic wire-feed welding, then re-machining to specification on the same bar setup.
Cost Comparison Presentation
Detailed breakdown comparing cost-per-repair for workshop dispatch vs BOS on-site — covering transport, crane hire, downtime, and turnaround time differentials.
Ahmedabad — Western India
Ahmedabad's Earthcon edition drew heavily from Gujarat's infrastructure and real estate construction sectors, with significant representation from port-related heavy lifting and marble/stone quarrying operations. The BOS stand attracted strong interest from Gujarat-based equipment dealers looking to expand their service product portfolio, and from contractors active on Ahmedabad Metro and NHAI projects who were acutely aware of the cost of equipment downtime on fixed-schedule infrastructure contracts.
Indore — Central India
The Indore edition positioned BOS in front of Madhya Pradesh's mining and construction ecosystem — a market dominated by coal, limestone, and iron ore operations alongside major road and dam construction activity. Earthcon Indore's audience included service workshop owners who already perform bore repairs manually and were receptive to seeing how a BOS machine could improve their output quality and throughput. Several multi-branch workshop operators from MP and Chhattisgarh attended.
Hyderabad — Southern India
Hyderabad's Earthcon edition brought BOS into contact with Telangana and Andhra Pradesh's rapidly growing infrastructure market — among the most active in India for road, metro, and industrial construction. The Southern India audience also included equipment dealers and service companies covering the mining operations in Bellary, Karimnagar, and Kadapa — regions with substantial excavator and dozer fleets operating in harsh, bore-wearing conditions. This edition also included early conversations with operators from the Godavari and Krishna irrigation infrastructure projects.
Across all three Earthcon cities, the dominant visitor profile was the hands-on buyer — fleet owners who make their own repair decisions, workshop proprietors who understand bore quality intimately, and contractors who have experienced firsthand the pain of multi-week machine downtime waiting for a workshop slot. These are the customers who move quickly from demonstration to purchase when they see a product that solves a real operational problem.
Rental fleet operators featured prominently at all three editions — particularly those managing 15+ machine fleets where cross-hire arrangements mean any single machine's downtime has immediate revenue implications. The ability to repair a bore without demounting the machine from its rental site was a compelling operational advantage in this context.
Service workshop owners and entrepreneurs — already performing bore repair with conventional boring bars or manual methods — engaged seriously with the quality and speed improvements BOS intelligent machines deliver. For this segment, BOS represents not just a better tool but a business capability upgrade: the ability to take on bore repair contracts previously referred to better-equipped workshops.
The Earthcon series addressed a strategic gap in BOS's go-to-market approach. National shows like Bauma CONEXPO and Excon are essential for brand awareness and large account engagement, but regional shows build the distribution depth that converts brand awareness into actual revenue across India's geographically diverse equipment market.
The three Earthcon cities represent three distinct regional markets — each with its own dominant industry, its own equipment mix, and its own commercial culture. The relationships built in Ahmedabad, Indore, and Hyderabad through Earthcon have supported BOS's dealer network development in Gujarat, MP, and Telangana/AP — markets that are now integral to the company's annual sales base.
The regional exhibition programme also informs BOS's product development. Feedback from workshop owners in Indore about bore size distribution in coal mining equipment, or from Hyderabad-based contractors about corrosion challenges in Andhra Pradesh's coastal belt, feeds directly into how BOS thinks about its next product improvements.
